Description
The assignment was the subject of truth. I chose to portray truth as a white rose- pure, untainted, whole. This can be taken 2 different ways.
1. Truth is being buried by lies, deceit, and everything else we humans tend to use. Lies are so common.
2. Truth is being uncovered; dug up by someone willing enough to get to the bottom of the messy pile of lies. They uncover the facade, the fake face to find the real person.
In truth, we are all beautiful.

Before reading your description, I took some time to analyse the meaning of your painting and saw the rose as being the truth buried or uncovered. Which was exactly the meaning you tried to portray. Very nice use of symbolism here, I like it a lot.
